The Daily Dose: Big Boi - "CPU 2.0 (feat. Phantogram & Sade)"

The Daily Dose: New music every day. It's good for you.

Amid extensive touring with a newly-reunited OutKast and talk of dropping another album this year, Big Boi has shared a reworking of "CPU" from 2012's Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors. Where Phantogram's vocals and the dazed beat of the original suggests paranoia in an electronic world, this mashup with Sade's "Nothing Can Come Between Us" is smoother, lighter, and far less urgent. It's also great and available as a free download. Check it out below.

The Daily Dose: Kyla La Grange - "Cut Your Teeth (Kygo Remix)"

The Daily Dose: New music every day. It's good for you.

Kyla La Grange's fabulous "Cut Your Teeth," released earlier this month, has just received a superb remix from Kygo. The 22-year-old Norwegian producer has stretched the song from three minutes to six, making it more danceable but not losing the haunting power of La Grange's lyrics: "You cut your teeth on the lack of answers / Come back home, but it don't feel the same." Grab a free download on Kygo's Facebook page via the SoundCloud link below.

The Daily Dose: George Ezra - "Cassy O'"

The Daily Dose: Music every day. It's good for you.

There's been so much great music coming out recently (including tracks from Beck and The Notwist), it's difficult to choose what prescribe on The Dose. I've settled with George Ezra's "Cassy O'" that came out a few days ago. A rollicking song that manages to not be just another acoustic folk song (well, maybe it is, but I like it), it's wonderfully catchy and has the great nonsense stanza, "Well, I traveled to Australia / And I traveled there by train / This something might sound strange to you / But on the way I gained a day." Stream it below or follow the download link to purchase on iTunes.

The Daily Dose: Keep Shelly in Athens - "Old Time Glory"

The Daily Dose: Music every day. It's good for you.

For all of us who were excited to see where Keep Shelly in Athens would go after their fabulous debut album, At Home, it's sad to hear that vocalist Sarah P will be departing the band. Luckily, the the band have shared a track, "Old Time Glory," to honor Sarah P and keep us excited about the band's future even after her departure. Listen and download for free below:

The Daily Dose: Misun - "Travel With Me"

The Daily Dose: Music every day. It's good for you.

A few days ago, self-proclaimed "Aquawave" band Misun released "Travel With Me," an airy and tropical tune that jumps and shuffles through lyrics about inevitable change. As the band's SoundCloud page states,
"it [is] a song about being close with someone, and as time passes, the pain that comes growing apart from them, along with the joy of keeping their memories."
Stream it below.

The Daily Dose: Da-P - "Strike Out"

The Daily Dose: Music every day. It's good for you.

It's Soulection again. This time, it's Da-P's "Strike Out," which fits in nicely among Soulection's ever-growing collection of chilled-out, future-bass, waiting-in-a-dentist-office-on-Saturn music. According to his SoundCloud, you can revisit the link tomorrow if you like it and you should be able to download it (whether for free or for a buck or two remains to be seen). Stream below and enjoy.

The Daily Dose: Kevin Drew - "Good Sex"

The Daily Dose: Music every day. It's good for you.

In anticipation of his EP, Darlings, which is due out in mid-March, Broken Social Scene founder Kevin Drew has released the single "Good Sex." As Drew states on SoundCloud:
"This record is a celebration of memories. It’s about the rise and fall of love and sex, in my own life and in today’s society. This topic has been with me for years. I approached it focused purely on the songwriting, leaving all the tricks and explosions behind. I hope you like it... and if you don't, give to someone who will."
Uplifting and calming instead of boring and explicit, Drew's track is great and, like good sex, "it never makes you feel hollow." Check it out below.
