Somewhat relevant (foreign though obviously not French) is Alex & Daniel, the first album from a collaborative effort between Chilean pop musicians Alex Anwandter and Gepe. I haven't been able to stop listening to it for the past few days; even if you don't know any Spanish, good luck getting the infectious "Mundo Real" unstuck from your head (ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh). The rest of the album, which you can stream in full below, is definitely worth listening to. As always, happy listening.

I never would have thought to cover TLC's "No Scrubs" and mash it up with The xx, some strings, and samples from Hitchcock's horror classic, Psycho. Not only does South London band Bastille do this, they are surprisingly successful.
