Playlist: December 2013: A Little Bit Longer

After starting The Daily Dose, I'm beginning to realize the arbitrary and sporadic nature of these playlists. Though most of the music is relatively recent (some, Like "January (Kaytranada Edition)" came out a few hours ago), the only unifying aspect seems to be that I have had each song in relatively heavy rotation over the past two or three weeks. But at least for now, the inconsistency stays; here's the past two or three weeks of the best music I've been listening to.

Some of the stuff has been on The Daily Dose, but not all. Definitely listen to the new Kaytranada edition of the Disclosure track and be sure to grab Bit Funk's Soul Satisfaction EP for free on SoundCloud. Plenty of other good stuff to check out: "Ilsa Drown" features the irresistible crooning of Sigur Rós's Jónsi; "Crazy Janey" uses the same sample as TV Girl's fabulous "I Wonder Who She's Kissing Now;" Sam Smith shows off his vocals in the stripped down "Not in That Way;" "Savage" is one of my personal favorites, especially if you listen to it on good speakers.
